Bloomington PRIDE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to create safe and inclusive spaces for people of all ages, celebrate LGBTQ+ arts and culture, and enrich the Bloomington and South Central Indiana communities through educational and cultural awareness events.

We support a range of LGBTQ+ programs and events, including the Prism Youth Community, LGBT Aging & Caring Network, Trans and Allies Support Community, PRIDE Film Festival, and Pridefest summer celebration.

Prism Youth Community

Prism is an inclusive social group for youth (ages 12–20) celebrating all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.

The network provides support, plans social activities, and creates educational opportunities for the aging LGBT population in Monroe County and surrounding communities.

TASC is a peer-facilitated group that works to support and confirm transgender and nonbinary gender-diverse people through community and advocacy.

Pridefest (formerly Summerfest) celebrates the LGBTQ+ community through live artistic and music performances, educational workshops with community leaders, interactive activities, and more. The 2017 event takes place on Saturday, August 26 on Kirkwood Avenue between Walnut and Lincoln Streets.

PRIDE Film Festival

Founded in 2003, this three-day event explores a wide variety of issues and situations involving the LGBTQ+ communities through film and live performance. The 2018 festival will take place January 25–27 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.

Bloomington PRIDE is run and managed by volunteers. In other words, we can't do any of this without you and there's even more we can achieve with your help.
